In full
Counting in twos is 2 more each time: 2, 4, 6, 8; start from an odd number and they all stay odd: 3, 5, 7. Counting in threes is 3 more each time: 3, 6, 9, 12, 15, 18, odd and even taking turns. Counting in fives is 5 more each time, and from 0 or 5 the ones digit is always 5 or 0: 5, 10, 15, 20. Counting in tens is 10 more each time: the tens go up 1 and the ones stay: 3, 13, 23, 33. With a lot of things, count them in twos, fives or tens: quicker, and nothing missed. Or jump 2, 3, 5 or 10 steps at a time on a number line.
